Tell me enough to give you a real number
Most online rate quotes are fiction, meaning a number designed to get you on the phone rather than a number you could actually close at. I'd rather ask you five questions and then tell you the truth.
Nothing here triggers a credit check. If we get to the point where I need to pull credit, I'll tell you first and explain why.
Say so in the notes, and tell me what reason they gave you. Nine times out of ten that reason turns out to be a limitation of their program rather than a problem with you, and knowing what they said saves us both about a week.
